What are the responsibilities and job description for the Piping Helper position at Metro Mechanical Inc?
Responsibilities:
- Take and follow instructions regarding the collection and acquisition of tools and equipment.
- Assist HVAC mechanic or lead installer on installing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on commercial properties.
- Ensure that all systems remain in compliance with standards and protocols.
- Stocking job site with ductwork & equipment & cleaning jobsites of HVAC identifiable trash.
- Measure and prepare the materials required for HVAC installations.
- Assist in the installation of ducts and ducting systems.
- Ensure proper delivery and removal of equipment from client sites.
- Enforce safety measures before, during, and after each process.
- Devise and implement methods in order to ensure that clients’ property remains safe.
- Complying with relevant codes and regulatory standards.
- Operating a variety of hand and power tools needed for HVAC installation.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, pull and push components/equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Work flexible hours as required.
- Able to work well with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specific procedures.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
- Must have a valid DL and good driving record.
- Tools are required.
