Job Summary
Transfers items from warehousing to schools, school and district facilities, as well as other sites. Loads and unloads items from the vehicle. Works under genera
What you will do
- Stages, loads and unloads, and delivers warehouse items (including, but not limited to surplus furniture and equipment, office and classroom furniture, textbooks, technology, food service equipment, musical instruments, science kits) and any other items.
- Works with teams of temporary staff at various times throughout the year as it relates to textbook processing, technology processing, school moves, and other district relocation assignments.
- Operates vehicles to transport items.
- Assists with the coordination, palletizing and delivery of any items sold through Metro Government (E-Bid).
- Assists in reconciling discrepancies in asset records (physical counts versus reported items, physical location of items, etc.) for the purpose of maintaining a computerized inventory of all assets as required by state, federal, and administrative regulations.
- Uses inventory software, creates delivery tickets and pulls items from stock for staging and delivery (textbooks, technology, and other warehouse items, as necessary).
- Receives signature as proof of delivery from schools and other locations. Receives signatures as proof of pick-up from schools and other locations for any inventory that is removed. Turn in paperwork to ensure asset locations are kept up-to-date.
- Maintains open communications and develops solid working relationships within the organization.
Education Qualifications
- High School Diploma GED, or vocational training Required
Experience Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience pulling stock, staging, loading and unloading trucks; and/or experience working with teams and temporary staff Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State
