Housekeeper, Ranch - Somerville TX

SUMMARY: We are actively seeking a seasoned and experienced Housekeeper to join our team at our exotic hunting ranch in Somerville, TX, with responsibilities extending to a property in College Station. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of both interior and exterior spaces. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, a proactive mindset, excellent organizational skills, possessing a no job is too big attitude.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General cleaning (including but not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, polishing, and disinfecting of all rooms and spaces)
• Changing and washing of linens and sheets in quarters and common areas
• Clean and polish furniture, light fixtures, and ceiling fans.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
• Clean and dust patio furniture fixtures, and equipment.
• Restock and maintain inventory and toiletries.
• Gather and empty trash in living quarters and public areas.
• Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses.
• Cleans kitchen areas including countertops, refrigerators, and ovens.
• Replace most interior and exterior light bulbs using a 12-foot ladder.
• Reports any damages, maintenance problems, or issues to the Ranch Manager.
• Make beds, clean, and organize cabins while guests are away on property.
• Wash, iron, and fold dining room linens such as napkins and tablecloths
• Deliver any items requested by guests to cabins.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of the dining room, kitchen area and dishes.
• Travel off property to run errands or assist in in the housekeeping of other local properties
• Follows detailed schedule and worksheet for cleaning buildings and common areas.
• Including but not limited to other responsibilities as requested by the Ranch Operations Manager or Corporate

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Valid Driver’s license with a good driving record required.
• Hospitality experience preferred

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be mature, neat in appearance, courteous, friendly, and outgoing.
• Ability to operate a vacuum cleaner, and related equipment.
• Must be able to learn and comprehend all company policies pertaining to position and employment.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to see problem areas that may arise in individual rooms and be able to communicate these problems to the Ranch Manager.
• Must possess a sense of discretion and confidentiality.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires good use of hands to grasp, handle and reach, with fine finger manipulation, sensitivity, and touch. Position is active with frequent walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, and reaching in all directions. Must be able to climb and balance on a step stool and a 12-foot ladder to change light bulbs, clean, handle decorations, and lift uo to 20 lbs.. Required to occasionally operate a vehicle (company suburban and a 4-wheeler) on behalf of the company. Position involves working in climate-controlled and non-climate controlled environments and constantly moving in between environments on a daily basis.
