10 Hour Day Shifts
Position Purpose and Summary:
As a Wheelchair Driver, you will provide safe and reliable transportation for non-ambulatory and ambulatory patients to hospitals, dialysis centers, and other medical appointments in a non-emergent environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Be compassionate and understanding, ensuring a positive environment for our clients.
- Door-to-Door Service: Greet clients and assist them in transitioning from their residence to appointments and back safely.
- Drive with Confidence: Maintain calm and control while driving in all weather conditions, ensuring the safety of all passengers and others on the road.
- Punctuality: Be timely and dependable, ensuring clients are on time for their essential medical appointments.
- Communication with Dispatch: Report drop-offs, delays, incidents, and receive new orders efficiently from the Dispatch team.
- Embrace Variety: Enjoy the dynamic nature of the job, meeting new people and visiting new places every day!
Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License with no at-fault accidents in the last 3 years (Required).
- CPR & First Aid Certification (Will be provided on-site by Metro One Certified Trainer).
- 1 Year of Driver Experience (Preferred).
- Zero At-Fault Incidents in the last 3 years.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Customer Service Experience: Must have a strong customer-facing background and a proven record of providing excellent assistance to clients.
- Driving Experience: At least 1 year of van driving experience preferred. Clean driving record with no more than 4 points in the last 3 years and a valid South Carolina driver license.
- Great Attitude: Empathy, compassion, and a customer-focused mindset, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Confidentiality: Must adhere to HIPAA regulations and all federal, state, and agency guidelines.
Ability to Commute or Relocate:
- Location: Florence, SC
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Every other Saturday
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- First Aid & CPR Certification
