Qualifications
National EMT Certification (required)
Colorado EMT Certification (required)
BLS Certification (required)
Valid Driver’s License, with no at fault accidents in the last 3 years (required)
1 year patient care experience (preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply)
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Metro One Ambulance is an EMS service of people helping people. We are looking for qualified EMT’s ready to serve the communities of Fort Collins, Colorado with excellent patient care and customer service. Our EMT’s will be responsible for interfacility transfers in and around the Fort Collins area. 12 hour day/evening shifts are available currently. Please note that the first first day of training is required to be in Colorado Springs.
Duties Include
Prepares to transport patients by completing operator vehicle inspections at the beginning and end of every shift, taking inventory of supplies and restocking the ambulance, and correcting deficiencies.
Maintains safe and healthy conditions by following organizational medical protocols, standards, and legal regulations.
Completes patient care reports by entering required information and relevant data obtained from the patient and transferring facility staff.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in continuing education, relevant training, and open communications with the leadership team.
