JOIN THE TEAM! Metro One is seeking two Certified EMTs to support or Paper Mills. In this role as a Certified EMT, you will assist with worker safety and respond to all medical related situations at the site. The EMTs support the site to manage and report all work-related injuries, illness, etc. with the support of the on-site management team.
We are hiring Emergency Medical Technicians!
Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) respond to medical emergencies and deliver employee care, support, and evaluations in a mill / plant setting, like on scene and during transport to the hospital. This generally includes assessing the employee, determining the proper emergency care, and administering treatment. EMTs also help with transporting employees safely between hospitals and care facilities.
Responsibilities for EMT
Examine and evaluate employees to determine necessary careProvide employees with emergency response and care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipmentPerformance of occupational health duties such as drug screens, hearing tests, fit tests, and physicals.Document employee information, condition, and treatmentMaintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for employee / patient rightsWork within and pursuant to OSHA policiesTransport employees in accordance with outlined policies and proceduresOperate and drive ambulance if applicable in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws
Qualifications for EMT
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) requiredCurrent EMT certification / license in the state of practiceCurrent CPR certification or ability to obtainMust possess a valid driver's license in the state of practice
Ability to obtain state security guard license as required because we care a Security Officer Company. Per our client contract we have on-site EMT's who work for Metro One. (no worries! We assist with this)
1 year of experience in an emergency care setting preferredAbility to bend, pull, push, and lift 50 pounds or moreAbility to follow oral and written instructionsDemonstrated ability to implement clinical care in accordance with outlined policies and proceduresAbility to exercise sound judgment while working in a stressful environment
