Hydration technician

Come join our family-owned company in need of a team player for our laboratory/inspection group. We are a contact lens manufacturer located on the westside of Pflugerville, TX (just east of I-35). The company has been in business for over 50 years and continues to grow and evolve to remain competitive in the contact lens industry. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and execute detailed instructions

· Ability to stand for long periods of time

· Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel and Word)

· Comfortable learning and using new computer software (data input)

· Strong arithmetic and general math reasoning

· Good communication skills

· Good eyesight (or corrected vision) and dexterity

· Familiarity with basic lab practices a plus (i.e. using a balance to weigh materials, using pipettes to dispense liquid, etc.)

· Ability to work overtime if required (preferred)

· Accurately assess contact lens job orders

· Perform optical inspection of high volume of lenses

· Operate autoclave for sterilization process

· Final packaging of passing lenses, to include labeling vials and boxes

· Maintain a clean work environment based on laboratory cleaning schedule

· Work scheduled hours with a consistently positive attitude and high energy

· Perform daily paperwork within guidelines of Good Documentation Practices

· Work in a safe manner, following company safety rules and guidelines

· Follow all applicable government and/or quality regulations (FDA, ISO9001, HIPPA)
