As an Armed Security Officer at Metro Public Safety & Investigations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties. This position is essential to our mission of providing top-notch security services while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security of premises.
• Monitor surveillance systems and respond to alarms or incidents promptly.
• Conduct thorough inspections of facilities and report any irregularities.
• Provide assistance during emergencies, including first aid when necessary.
• Engage with clients and the public to promote a safe environment.
• Document incidents accurately and maintain detailed reports.
• Collaborate with law enforcement as needed during investigations or emergencies.
• Stay updated on security protocols and participate in ongoing training.
• Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions.
• Occasionally ascends/ descends stairs/ladders or balance to reach destinations.
• The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside and outside to reach destinations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid certification in armed security or law enforcement experience is required.
• Strong surveillance skills with experience in CCTV monitoring.
• Proficient in conflict management techniques to handle difficult situations effectively.
• First aid and CPR certification are preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Experience in loss prevention strategies is a plus.
• Willingness to undergo background checks as part of the hiring process.
• Must own duty gear: Duty Belt, Handcuffs, Flashlight etc..
• Must own personal full size handgun 9mm,40cal

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour

Hourly pay varies based on experience and job assignment.
