Job Description:
Metro RF is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welding Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures and equipment using various welding techniques. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with welding processes, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. At MRF we categorize our Welding Technicians into three categories (WTI, WTII, and WTIII) contingent on skill level and aptitude which will be assessed during the interview phase. Compensation will be determined based on these categories.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding tasks using techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding to fabricate and repair metal components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise welding operations.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Set up and operate welding equipment, including maintaining and adjusting settings as needed.
• Cut, grind, and shape metal components using power tools and cutting equipment.
• Conduct regular maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure safe operation.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within specifications.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (required); welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) are highly preferred.
• Proven experience as a welding technician or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
• Familiarity with materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
• Strong understanding of welding safety protocols and practices.
• Physical ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and work in various environments.

Work Schedule:
