Position Overview
Metro Security Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Operations Center (SOC) Officer to monitor, analyze, and respond to security threats from our clients state-of-the-art Security Operations Center. The SOC Officer will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of assets, employees, and the public by utilizing advanced surveillance systems, incident response tools, and communication networks.
Key Responsibilities
- Real-Time Monitoring: Utilize CCTV cameras, access control systems, intrusion detection, and alarm systems to monitor security threats across multiple locations.
- Incident Response: Detect, assess, and respond to security incidents, ensuring proper protocols are followed and escalation procedures are executed as necessary.
- Communication & Coordination: Maintain direct communication with field security officers, emergency services, and law enforcement agencies during incidents.
- Threat Assessment & Reporting: Identify potential security risks, analyze patterns, and provide detailed reports on security-related incidents.
- Access Control Management: Oversee entry and exit points for restricted areas, granting or denying access as required.
- Emergency Management: Assist in coordinating responses to emergencies, including fire, medical incidents, and security breaches.
- Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of security incidents, shift reports, and surveillance footage analysis.
- Compliance & Protocols: Ensure all security procedures comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Technology Utilization: Operate and maintain security software, surveillance systems, and emergency notification tools.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide recommendations for security enhancements and participate in ongoing training and development programs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in security operations, law enforcement, or a related field (prior SOC experience preferred).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with security monitoring software, video surveillance systems, and incident management platforms.
- Certifications: Must possess or be willing to obtain security-related certifications

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions
- Attention to detail and ability to detect anomalies in security footage
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Availability:
Must be flexible with work hours, including weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts.
Background Check:
