What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transport Supervisor position at Metro Shore Services, LLC?
The Pier Transportation Supervisor is responsible for assisting daily assigned Transportation team as needed, seeing the operation holistically, and working with Transportation / Operations Manager for the success of the operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Brief the Transportation agents to review total expected transfer counts and coach dispatch information
- Ensure bus counters are utilizing Coach loading forms properly and legible
- Monitor Bus loaders as they count passengers loaded onto buses
- Ensure buses are loaded to max
- Work with Airport Transportation Lead to update on departed coaches, coach number, and time departed pier during debark and continue working with Airport Transportation Lead to stay updated with embarking traffic flow.
- Work to ensure all drivers know what the expected avg. counts are per coach.
- Ensure all staff receive restroom breaks when necessary in an effective manner, keeping an eye on the guest flow
- Once bus is loaded communicate to all debarkation passengers on the bus procedures when arriving to the airport
- Meet and Greet embarkation passengers on buses as they come into the pier and before they exit the bus

Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and guests; manual dexterity required for reaching for documents and operating the cruise line provided laptops and check in system. Must be able to physically stand for at least six (8) hours in an active and dynamic environment.
