This role requires a combination of artistic skills and knowledge of food production processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and decorate cakes according to customer orders and specifications.
- Prepare cake batter, fillings, and frostings using various techniques.
- Ensure all cakes are baked to perfection and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with the team to create custom cake designs for special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, and corporate events.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the baking area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Package finished products for display or delivery while ensuring they remain intact.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
Experience
- Previous experience in food production or the food industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations.
- Experience in pastry arts or cake decorating is highly desirable.
- Background in catering or restaurant environments is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
