Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications.
- Ensure all meat products are displayed attractively and are properly packaged for sale.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat cutting area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their meat selections and answering any questions they may have.
- Operate and maintain cutting tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels of meat products and communicate needs to management.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure product quality and safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or food industry setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and culinary practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Proficient in using knives and other cutting tools safely.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift heavy items as required.
