Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Stocker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of our grocery store or warehouse environment. This position involves stocking shelves, managing inventory, and ensuring that products are readily available for customers. A successful Stocker will have strong organizational skills and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Duties
- Stock shelves with products in an organized manner to ensure easy access for customers.
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area, including the sales floor and storage areas.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize product placement and sales strategies.
- Perform heavy lifting as required when moving products or restocking shelves.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers in locating items when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards while handling products and equipment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or grocery store setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain an efficient stockroom environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively; multilingual skills are a nice-to-have asset.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and long periods of standing or walking throughout the shift.
