- Mop, sweep, wax and polish floors.
- Clean and dust furniture, equipment, etc.
- Collect and dispose of wastepaper and refuse.
- Vacuum carpeted areas where applicable.
- Perform routine maintenance to custodial equipment.
- Maintain sanitary lavatories and restrooms.
- Clean up spills (including bodily fluids) in a safe and appropriate manner.
- Verify by initialing daily tasks performed on duty lists.
- Assist with snow and ice removal.
- Drive District vehicle to transport materials and supplies and to travel from campus to campus.
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to affect continuous improvements in services to customers.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Ability to interpret, follow instructions and warnings, especially in the use of equipment and cleaning supplies.
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Abillity to work independently with minimal and/or intermittent supervision.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual attendance.
- Possess a valid Oklahoma driver's license, and have an acceptable driving record.
- Indoor setting with minimal duties outdoors.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
- Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
- Position requires the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Work requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, carrying and occasional climbing and reaching above shoulders
