    General Description:

    Metro Technology Centers is accepting applications for an Preventative Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and manage the preventative maintenance operations across the district. This positoin will be responsible for the sytems operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems. The successful candidate will ensure that all district systems are operating efficiently and effectively, conducting regular inspections, performing preventative maintenance tasks, and coordinating repairs or replacements of defective equipment. The Preventative Maintenance Supervisor will operate with a high level of autonomy.

    Representative Duties:
    • Oversee the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
    • Supervise and schedule maintenance technicians to perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems across all district buildings.
    • Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of all building assets, providing support for complex repair and maintenance tasks as needed.
    • Coordinate and schedule HVAC maintenance in response to work requests, ensuring systems operate efficiently.
    • Review and prioritize work orders in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CCMS), determining necessary repairs and services for optimal equipment performance.
    • Order parts and materials, maintain a vendor list, and submit purchase orders (P.O.) for district equipment needs.
    • Communicate regularly with the Facility Maintenance Manager regarding work order status and equipment requirements.
    • Drive district vehicles for material transport, including parts and supplies between campuses.
    • Perform physically demanding tasks, often in varying environmental conditions, alongside maintenance technicians.
    • Maintain regular attendance and consistently meet job performance expectations.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Facility Maintenance Manager.

    General Qualification Requirements:


    Education/Experience:
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
    • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance.
    • At least 3 years of leadership experience in a managerial or supervisory role.

    ENVIRONMENT/WORKING CONDITIONS:
    • Frequent outdoor work in various environmental conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and rain.
    • Ability to work at heights on ladders and scaffolding.
    • Regular work in confined spaces and awkward body positions.
    • Exposure to moving machinery, such as pulleys and blower motors.
    • Occasional exposure to electrical hazards with the potential for electrical shock.
    • Regular travel between campuses to transport materials, meet vendors, and perform other maintenance duties.

    EQUIPMENT:
    • Boilers, chillers, rooftop HVAC units, split HVAC units, ice machines, and various district equipment.
    • Reach-in/walk-in coolers, air compressors, valves, and related components.
    • Piping systems and valves.

    REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

    • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and preventative maintenance procedures.
    • Ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and instructions.
    • Skilled in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems.
    • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and make informed decisions.
    • Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software for documentation and tracking of maintenance activities.

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Licenses/Certificates: Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
    • Unlimited Journeyman’s License.
    • EPA License, Universal.
    • Oklahoma State Boiler Operator License, class 3.
    • Oklahoma City Boiler Operator License, class 2.
    • Work Keys Certificate, Gold.
    • OSHA 10 Hour Certificate.

    MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 125 lbs.
    • Capacity to work in a physically demanding environment, requiring sustained physical effort.
