The Medical Assistant will help the Physician in the diagnostic testing, examination, education and treatment of patients. The Medical Assistant staff share our commitment to delivering the highest quality of patient care while delivering exceptional customer service. Medical Assistants serve as an extension of the Metro Vein Centers clinical team to provide support to patients and other medical staff. This position heavily contributes to success by helping maintain office workflow time management, inventory, and improve health care delivery.

How You'll Make a Difference
- Escorts the patient to the exam room and takes vitals. Assists the physician and clinical staff before and after medical procedures, prepping, and consenting patients appropriately
- Coordinates communication with the patient, family members, medical and administrative staff. Reviews pre and after care instructions thoroughly with patients
- Maintains inventory by stocking, tracking, and ordering supplies using an inventory management system and doing a manual count monthly
- Review patient charts to prepare the clinic's daily operations accordingly ie: making sure we have correct supplies needed for procedures
- At the discretion of physicians- takes detailed medical history, and triages the patient to identify their medical needs, presents medical history to the physician. The medical assistant may be asked to open chart note and annotate the patient chart with exam and treatment results
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Excellent communication skills including active listening
- Service-oriented and able to resolve patient concerns
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software
- Bilingual a plus, but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology
