As the Facilities Maintenance Manager at Metro Water Recovery, you will oversee many different maintenances, including building maintenance, grounds, industrial maintenance, and HVAC.
General Statement:
Directs and coordinates the daily activities of the Facilities Maintenance Division, with responsibility for maintenance of buildings and grounds. Works under the general direction of the Director of Maintenance and supervises Facilities Maintenance Supervisors and semi-skilled positions.
- Directs and advises the Facilities Maintenance Supervisors on work schedules, staff training, personnel policies and employee relations. Ensures preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance is performed using Metro’s EAM system within established procedures.
- Provide oversight of Facilities specific outside service contracts. Works closely with Maintenance Contract Specialist and Procurement.
- Coordinates with other departments in prioritizing and conducting maintenance projects, construction projects, and daily activities in accordance with safety, contractual and regulatory requirements
- Identifies constraints and opportunities to increase efficiency within maintenance programs. Makes recommendations and directs the implementation of changes.
- Administers the Facilities Maintenance Division budget, providing performance reports and comments on variances. Recommends staffing levels.
- Assists in directing programs to develop, design and implement modifications and improvements to existing and new plant equipment or facilities.
- Participates in employee selection process; evaluates the performance and skill level of employees; provides training, counseling and discipline as necessary.
- Administers safety and training programs for the Facilities Maintenance Division.
- Authorizes and approves requisitions and expenditures for resources in accordance with delegated spending authority from the Director of Maintenance
- Performs other administrative or technical duties as needed.
