Position Title: Mobility Specialist

Wage: $27.90-$34.10 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some evening or weekend activities may be required.
Position Term: This is a full-time position funded through a [two]-year grant. Continuation of the position beyond the initial grant period is contingent upon additional funding.

Metro is looking to employ a Mobility Specialist to support the Senior Mobility Manager with the oversight of the micro transit and customer service contracts and pass program agreements. The Mobility Specialist should be committed to advancing access to public transit for all members of the Greater Omaha community. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, task management, and organizational skills.
Mobility Specialist Qualifications:

Demonstrated
experience managing, implementing or overseeing
contracts with third-party vendors
·
Exemplary customer service skills
·
Strong organization, attention to detail, and task
management skills
·
Excellent
interpersonal, written and verbal
communication skills.

Demonstrated
commitment to advancing equity and inclusion
·
Experience navigating and/or working in public transit
·
Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft
Office Suite. Willingness to learn new technologies and software applications

Ability to complete a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and
background check satisfactorily
·
Preferred: Written and spoken proficiency in English and Spanish to assist Metro in complying with the Federal Transit Authority’s (FTA) Title VI regulations
for language access
Mobility Specialist Essential Duties:
·
Micro transit
o
Support the Senior Mobility Manager
with the oversight of the microtransit contractor
o
Assist in reviewing performance data and preparing reports
·
Customer Service
o
Support the Senior Mobility Manager with the oversight of the customer service contractor
o
Assist with establishing and regularly assessing customer feedback response
procedures
o
Serve as the primary
liaison between the contractor and other Metro departments
o
Monitor customer
service complaints generated by customer service representatives and refer to the appropriate department as necessary.
o
Enter service and driver complaints into the workflow with
adequate information for resolution by the appropriate
department (e.g., Operations, Safety and Security, Planning)
o
Ensure the customer
service contractor has the appropriate
information to adequately provide support to riders (e.g., information
about detours, service interruptions, rider responsibilities, paratransit
policies and procedures)
o
Communicate directly with riders who
provide feedback to Metro
o
Conduct quality
assurance reviews of the customer service contractor

Pass Programs
o
Provide ongoing coordination and maintenance of existing pass program
agreements
o
Resolve complaints and
issues for pass program agreement users
o
Ensure impacted
departments (e.g., Communications, Finance, Planning, Operations, Training)
have updated pass program information
o
Collaborate with
Metro’s Community Mobility Coordinator to provide educational opportunities for current and potential pass
program participants to raise awareness of transit commuting options

Supports and promotes
the mission, initiatives, and values of Metro.

Regular and
predictable attendance and performance of essential job functions.
