What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Support Specialist position at MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy?
MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy is searching for a caring individual to work as a Clinic Support Specialist supporting our exceptional team of therapy clinicians! At MetroEHS, we strive to reveal the SUPER in every child and this position is vital to their success.
Job Duties:
- Coordinates incoming evaluations, including answering the door, directing family to waiting area, completing welcome packet and questionnaire (if needed), and notifying the appropriate therapist.
- Assists therapists as needed with parents late for pick-up, i.e., staying with the client and calling family members
- Processes, sorts and routes incoming/outgoing mail, email and faxes for Speech/OT staff as needed
- Coordinates scheduling of client appointments/ client availability and staff meetings
- Manages new client paperwork and assists clients as needed
- Assists therapists with therapy related activities including preparation of materials, cleaning, client and parent support as instructed.
- Adds/maintains authorizations of services by communicating with Case Managers and/or insurance companies.
- Monitors inventory and orders/picks up at the request of Business Manager
- Performs other administrative duties as assigned including but not limited to filing, sorting, updating records, data entry and competitive research.
- Responsible for inputting data, uploading/sending documents and creating patient portals in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) System.
- Other tasks as assigned by the Clinic Administrator, Administrative Office &/or SLP/OT staff

Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree required
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, i.e.: office management, experience with children, &/or children with disabilities
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to work with children, parents and/or people with disabilities
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks appropriately with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Committed to providing exceptional customer service
- Proficient computer skills and able to operate general office equipment (printer, fax etc.) required
- CPR certification required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 required
Hours:
- Full-Time
- Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm (4pm end time on Friday available!)
