Supervisory Responsibilities :
This position supervises the respective team members on the Task team.
Position Summary
The Manager of Task supervises and manages the task crew. They are responsible for executing and completing the daily and weekly tasks, and ensuring all tasks meet Metrolina quality and time standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive teamwork across the team to ensure daily and weekly task lists are completed within expected time standards
- Responsible for proper space allocation of all plants produced in the barn, and spaced at the appropriately designed time
- Evaluate and critically think through challenges with the ability to problem solve and make decisions
- Drive continuous improvement in every facet of the recycle department
- Build a highly functioning team by hiring, training, developing, and retaining a team of high performers
- Ensure proper personnel assignments for the night crew are communicated daily
- Responsible for approving the teams’ timecards for payroll purposes weekly
- Other duties as assigned

Job Setting & Physical Demands
This position is primarily outdoors but may be required to work between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, which may require the use of computers and standard office equipment. Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required. Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens. There are occasional needs to work in confined spaces. Position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. Candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including but not limited to operating the table lifter and get certified and operate on internal vehicles.
Employee must have the ability to life 35 pounds unaided, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
