Well established, highly successful, growing nephrology practice in Charlotte, NC, seeking a board certified Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for a FULL-TIME position with a start date of March 31, 2025.
Metrolina Nephrology Associates is the region’s most recognized and experienced nephrology group. The practice has been on the forefront of the treatment and management of kidney disease for more than 40 years. Composed of 43 nephrologists and 37 nephrology advanced practice providers, our practice serves patients from 8 convenient office locations, 1 vascular access center , 1 transplant center, 43 outpatient dialysis locations and 8 acute hospital dialysis units. Our extensive network of physicians and offices allow our practice to deliver care in an atmosphere that is personal, caring and compassionate.
Responsible for comprehensive patient care, including assessment, treatment planning/implementation, and education of patients and their families with chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease in various nephrology settings including office, hospital, transplant & outpatient dialysis units. No on call coverage required. Must be well versed in electronic medical record documentation. Competitive salary and benefits package available. Nephrology experience is preferred but not required.

Requirements
Education: Master’s/Doctoral prepared NP or PA from accredited program
Experience: AP practice is dynamic and involves the application of high level clinical knowledge and skills in a wide range of contexts. Demonstrates professional efficacy, enhanced by an extended range of autonomy that includes legislated privileges. Acts as a clinical leader with a readiness and an obligation to advocate for their patients and their profession.
Certification/Licensure: Must maintain a valid NC and/or SC license as a Registered Nurse and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant and be certified as a Nurse Practitioner by ANCC or AANP or Physician Assistant through NCCPA. Maintain a DEA license. Maintain valid BLS Certified (ACLS Optional). Certification as a Certified Nephrology Nurse Practitioner (CNN-NP) is preferred.
