Role Description
This is a full-time role as a Nephrologist at Metrolina Nephrology Associates located in Charlotte, NC. As a Nephrologist, you will be responsible for providing specialized medical care to patients with kidney disease. Your day-to-day tasks will include providing treatment of end stage renal disease (ESRD), manage continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and chronic kidney disease (CKD), including clinic visits and prescribe and manage plasmapharesis and leukapheresis. Responsible for shared evening and weekend call for nephrology problems. Travel to locations within commuting distance when on call, to cover rounds, or as needed for vacation and holiday coverage.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Medical degree and completion of residency in Internal Medicine or Nephrology
- Fellowship training in Nephrology
- Board certification or eligibility in Nephrology
- Experience in renal failure, chronic kidney disease, ESRD, hypertension, in-center hemodialysis, home dialysis including hemodialysis, and peritoneal dialysis, CVVHD, CVVHDF, plasmapheresis and leukapheresis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment
- Dedication to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
