Metron Aviation, an Airbus subsidiary, is looking to expand its ranks to support the growing need of Air Traffic Management (ATM), product development and mission analysis. Metron Aviation's long-term strategy is to support and accelerate ATM programs that will dramatically improve global airspace capacity, efficiency, and environmental sustainability.We currently have an opening for an experienced Technical Writer / Editor. This role includes editing proposals, scientific reports and other technical documents. The Technical Writer / Editor will be responsible for learning Metron Aviation's applications and developing the content for user guides, online help systems, and other related documentation. The successful candidate must be a team player who is able to work with little supervision and is comfortable in a fast-paced software development environment.Responsibilities : Create, edit, and maintain user guides for all production-level software using Adobe FrameMakerCreate online help systems using Adobe RoboHelpReview and edit proposals, technical documents, marketing materials, reports, etc.Maintain corporate documentation templatesOther writing and editing duties as assignedQualifications : Bachelor's degree in English (or relevant field) and 6 years of technical writing experience in a software development environmentExcellent writing and English grammar skillsStrong aptitude for learning new systems and interpreting system requirements for inclusion in user guides and help filesAbility to work with technical staff to solicit and interpret major ideas and technical resultsExpert working knowledge of Adobe FrameMaker and Adobe RoboHelp (versions 2017 )Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and PowerPointFamiliarity with Agile software development lifecycles and their supporting documentsExperience creating graphics and capturing software screenshotsDesired Skills : Knowledge of Jira, Jama Connect, Microsoft SharePoint, and SnagitBackground in software testingFamiliarity with working within an Agile software development environmentExperience in aviation or air traffic management is a plusExperience with Microsoft Visio is a plusMetron Aviation, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer EOE M / F / D / VFor more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
