Position Overview

Our HR Generalist position is responsible for performing HR and Payroll related duties on a professional level and work closely with all levels of the organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll, HRIS data entry and reporting, employee onboarding and off boarding, recruitment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzes, prepares and inputs payroll data to include garnishments, vacation time, sick time, insurance and 401(k) deductions. Utilizes automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
• Reviews electronic time clock for completeness and accuracy and contacts various department supervisors for missed time and inaccurate pay code entries.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Assist with the recruitment by posting job postings and employee onboarding process by conducting reference checks and creating offer letters and materials for HR orientation.
• Other duties may be needed to help drive our Metron vision, fulfil our mission and promote our company values.

Qualifications

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business, finance or related field (years of experience in the role can be used in lieu of education).
• Experience:
• Proven success working in an HR department.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll processing, and HRIS management. Paylocity experience a huge plus. A plus if you have experience with implementing a new HRIS system.
• Familiarity with compliance requirements such as ACA, ERISA, HIPPA and ADA.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to employment.
• Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of HRIS systems and the ability to learn new technical systems when necessary.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to understand data and conduct analysis.
• Soft Skills:
• People focused.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Works comfortably under pressure and able to meet tight deadlines and the ability to prioritize.
• Collaborative with all areas of our employee population for alignment for company culture and business and employee needs.

Benefits and Compensation

• Estimated salary range: $70,000 to $80,000.
• Competitive compensation package with Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, and paid time off.
