What are the responsibilities and job description for the New Market Development Manager position at MetroNet Inc.?
Description
As the Manager, you will collaborate internally with the company's Outside Plant Construction division to support predictable project execution and with the City Relations division to deliver exemplary customer service during and post-construction.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Understand and articulate Metronet's vision and long-range business goals
- Identify new growth markets for Metronet to expand fiber services, contact, schedule meetings / presentations, and collaborate with internal teams to finalize agreements
- Manage, establish, and foster critical relationships with city entities and elected officials, both virtually and in person when possible
- Manage tasks that move markets from the initial due diligence and engagement stage through pre-construction and board approval
- Build and maintain a portfolio with active projects, strong potential market pipelines and forecasts along with advocate for future opportunities.
- Facilitate and manage confident handoffs of local market relationships to other Metronet divisions
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Confidently network with elected and appointed officials to educate them about Metronet Fiber, fostering long-term relationships.
- Monitor and report on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform business development strategies
- Represent Metronet at industry events, conferences, networking opportunities, and city council meetings to promote the company and identify potential business opportunities
- Support senior management and leadership in strategic planning for current and potential activities related to fiber overbuild project implementation
- Continuously review and improve new market / business development processes and procedures to drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with the leadership team to identify, train, and support the New Market team.
- Perform any other duties as assigned
