Retail Sales Associate
Our Retail Sales Associate provides quality sales, service, and superior attention to the needs of Metronet customers. This role will report to the Inside Sales Manager, the Retail Sales Associate provides quality sales, service, and superior attention to the needs of Metronet customers. This is a pivotal role within the organization and will support the sales and growth of Metronet’s residential customer footprint.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Meet or exceed close ratio and sales quotas in an accountability-based culture
- Demonstrate a strong understanding and enthusiasm regarding Metronet products and services.
- Maintain detailed sales product knowledge, including competitive information
- Provide superior product knowledge and sales acumen in all customer interactions. Evaluate customers’ potential product needs and make appropriate recommendations regarding speed and ancillary services offered by Metronet.
- Demonstrate consistent results monthly for sales volume, close ratio, and other key performance indicators as defined by management.
- Remain informed of new policies, procedures, systems, customer promotions and technology that will facilitate achievement of sales goals on a consistent basis.
- Inform management about competitive plans/programs that might impact sales. Also provide regular feedback on Metronet policies and sales promotions
- Work in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years’ experience in a sales and/or customer service environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to overcome objections using sales and service techniques, and problem-solving skills
- Listening skills, to understand customer needs.
- Critical thinking skills
- Confidence, patience, politeness, tact, and diplomacy, when dealing with demanding situations
- Creative thinking, to be able to produce innovative ideas to improve sales support techniques, strategy, and customer service standards.
- An ability to work well under pressure.
- Available and willingness to work non-traditional hours when required based on needs of the business.
