The Role
The Chief of Staff to the Chief People Officer (CPO) is a pivotal leadership role designed to enhance the strategic and operational effectiveness of the People Team. You will act as a trusted partner to the CPO, driving cross-functional initiatives, fostering alignment across the People function, and supporting the company's transformation. This role requires exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills, coupled with a passion for building scalable organizational practices in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership :
- Partner with the CPO to set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the People Team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Guide the annual budget process for the People function.
- Provide relevant business updates to the People Team and own a recurring cadence and agenda for team-wide meetings.
- Lead efforts to build scalable HR systems and processes that support organizational growth and IPO readiness.
- Act as a thought partner and trusted advisor to the CPO, providing insights and recommendations on key business and People strategies.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $170,000.00 to $210,000.00 annually. The actual base salary offered is determined by a number of variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location of residence and / or place of employment. Base salary is one component of Metropolis's total compensation package, which may also include access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a lucrative stock option plan, bonus plans and more.
