Box Truck Delivery - Driver Orlando Healthcare

Position: Box Truck Delivery Driver Location:  Orlando Health Medical Campus  Pay rate: $18 per hour  Hours: 5am-8pm Monday-Thursday and 5am-10:30pm on Friday  Box Truck Delivery Driver Job Summary:   The Box Truck Delivery Driver is responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver products to various locations. The driver will handle loading and unloading of goods, ensure accurate delivery records, and maintain the truck in good working condition. This role requires a customer-focused attitude and the ability to work independently while adhering to company policies and safety standards.  Box Truck Delivery Driver Key Responsibilities:  Delivery Operations: Safely operate a box truck to deliver medical supplies to designated locations. Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.  Loading and Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading products from the truck. Ensure that all items are securely loaded and properly secured during transit.  Route Management: Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes. Adapt to changes in delivery schedules and routes as needed.  Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Address any questions or concerns they may have regarding their deliveries.  Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery logs, mileage, and any discrepancies. Obtain signatures and confirmations as required.  Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to management.  Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transportation laws.  Qualifications:  Valid Driver’s License: Possess a valid Class E or equivalent driver’s license with a clean driving record.  Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with box trucks and delivery processes is a plus.  Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and push items up to 150 pounds. Must be able to bend, stoop, and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.  Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.  Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple deliveries and priorities efficiently.  Attention to Detail: Accurate and detail-oriented in managing delivery records and ensuring proper handling of goods.  Working Conditions:  Environment: Work involves driving, loading, and unloading goods in various weather conditions. Some extended hours or overtime may be required.
