Journeyman Bricklayer/Foreman Bricklayer

Overview:

Bricklayers ($23-$44/hr): We are looking for skilled Bricklayers: you should be detail-oriented and display the necessary knowledge and skill. Seeking a skilled Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry and a passion for creating beautiful, long-lasting structures. The Brick Mason will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials to create structures such as walls, foundations, and chimneys. The position requires a high level of physical stamina and attention to detail.Ultimately, a top-notch Bricklayer should maintain a high standard of workmanship with safety and precision. Someone who takes pride in the workmanship and craftsmanship. to be responsible for constructing brickwork for a building.

A plus if you have Foreman/Job Running experience and then must be able to read and analyze building plans, check specifications, determine the most accurate layout, etc.

Responsibilities:

- Lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry materials to create walls, foundations, and chimneys.
- Inspect and repair existing structures to ensure they are safe and functional.
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
- Apply stucco, caulking, and other finishes to create a smooth and durable exterior.
- Work on roofs and other exterior surfaces to repair and replace damaged or missing materials.
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand the scope of a project.
- Provide detailed estimates for construction projects and ensure that materials and labor costs are accurately accounted for.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs to prevent damage and extend the life of structures.
- Work safely and follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.

Experience:

- Proven experience in masonry, including bricklaying, blocklaying, and other forms of masonry.
- Experience with power tools and hand tools used in masonry.
- Experience with construction estimating and blueprint reading.
- Ability to restore and renovate existing structures.
- Knowledge of stucco and caulking applications.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Experience with concrete forming and other forms of concrete construction.
- Familiarity with roof construction and repair.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $44.00 per hour
