Metropolitan Cabinets & Countertops have an immediate need for a full-time Experienced Machinists and Facility Manager. This position is located at our Norwood Factory/Showroom and requires some travel to our Natick, Wakefield, and Watertown MA locations.
The role of the maintenance mechanic at Metropolitan Cabinets & Countertops is to ensure a safe, clean and orderly building environment while maintaining a high level of equipment uptime.
Responsibilities Include
Routine mechanical repairs; ensuring the machinery functions properly according to manufacturer recommendation. Oversite and execution of existing Preventative Maintenance program.
- Mechanical & Electrical repairs
- On site trouble shooting with remote engineers
Preferences And Requirements
- Mechanical repair experience in a production environment.
- Experience installing, repairing, or troubleshooting PLCs (Programmable Logic Computers) preferred
- Understanding of both the metric and standard system
- Understanding, knowledge, and experience with production machinery
- Must be able to perform routine maintenance
- Ability to read manuals, electrical diagrams, drawings
- Ability to service and perform maintenance on machinery to a high standard
- PC literate
- Experience with CNC machinery
- Willingness to learn
Industry Specific Training will be available.
Qualifications
· Valid MA driver’s license
· Well organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks
· Good communication skills, the Spanish language is a plus
· Highly motivated self-starter
· Willingness to learn new processes and equipment
· Mechanical/electrical background is a plus
· Knowledge of Electrical (AC/DC), pneumatic schematics and components is a plus
