What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Response Specialist position at Metropolitan Center for Independent Living?
Promote the mission, operating values and agency services of MCIL.
Answering phone calls and email inquiries of people contacting MCIL for Advocacy needs, Housing support and Covid Community Coordinator services.
Greeting people who come into the office, performing their intakes for the IL department, and being able to offer some basic coaching, information, and resources for their needs on that first visit. Refer cases on to the Advocacy team for further coaching.
Operate front desk operations as assigned. Perform basic office duties such as answering and routing phone calls, ordering supplies, filing and copying.
Assisting the Covid Community Coordinator team in the distribution of PPE and at-home COVID test kits by contacting interested organizations, fielding requests from individuals, and coordinating pick ups or delivery of PPE and tests.
Use existing communication platforms, relationships, networks and programming to share MDH guidance and messaging on COVID-19 and the health recovery of the disability community from COVID-19.
Assist with the development and ongoing management of a method of inviting feedback from our audience about the impact of COVID on their lives and any unmet needs they have, such as developing a survey or adding questions to intakes.
