Position Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic Field Service Technician to play a crucial role in our mission to provide cutting-edge communication solutions. As a Field Service Technician at Metropolitan Communications Inc., you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of analog and digital public safety systems as well as commercial communication systems and equipment to include but not limited to BDAs, Repeater Systems, phone systems and other specialized systems. You will also be responsible for the repair of Two-way radios, lighting, sirens and other electronic devices in vehicles tailored to the unique needs of emergency services, schools, commercial clients, and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute on-site installations of advanced communication systems, including BDAs, Repeater Systems, phone systems, and other specialized systems, adhering to company standards and client specifications.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their specific communication needs across emergency response, education, commerce, and industry.
- Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of systems to ensure optimal performance in diverse and critical settings.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations, and customer interactions.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Field Service Technician in Wireless Communications or similar role.
- Proficiency in using a variety of service meters such as multimeter, RF service meter, Oscilloscope, Watt meter etc. As well as tools including various power tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
