This is a POOL position. Application materials for this adjunct non-teaching position accepted on an on-going basis due to increasing demand within this subject area.
Job Summary:
Part-Time Faculty: Counselors provide personal and educational counseling services to MCC's diverse student population. They provide referral to internal and external resources to support students. Counselors provide consultation to the campus community (faculty, staff, and administration) and student crisis intervention when needed.

Part-Time Faculty: Counselors provide personal and educational counseling services to MCC's diverse student population. They provide referral to internal and external resources to support students. Counselors provide consultation to the campus community (faculty, staff, and administration) and student crisis intervention when needed.
Essential Functions include but not limited to:
- Provide personal and educational counseling services to individual students from diverse backgrounds
- Triage referral to internal and external resources
- Crisis intervention
- Provide consultation to personnel (faculty, staff, administration)
- Document student meetings in MCC system
- Other related duties as needed
Required:
- Master's degree in one of the following:
- Counseling
- Education in Counseling
- Education in School Guidance and Counseling
Alternative Qualifications:
- Master's degree in any field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in a combination of the qualifying fields:
- Counseling
- Education in Counseling
- Education in School Guidance and Counseling
Preferred Qualifications:
- Licensed by the state of Missouri as a professional counselor (LPC) or clinical social worker (LCSW)
- Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri (PLPC) or PLPC eligible
- Supervision for PLPC is available at some campuses
