What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student: Regular (Pool) position at Metropolitan Community College?
This is a POOL position. Application materials for this position accepted on an on-going basis due to increasing demand.
Student Regular requires enrollment as a student at MCC for employment throughout the semester(s). The student regular program provides need-based funds for students to earn money while working on-campus part-time that is related to their academic educational program or career goals. Completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is not required.

Student Assistant:
Perform clerical and administrative duties, including but not limited to:

- Filing paperwork
- Answering office phones
- Greeting students and visitors
- Operating Copy/Printer machine (e.g. photocopying and faxing)
- Mail distribution (e.g. pick-up, sorting, and dissemination)
- Assist with departmental/office projects
- Other similar duties as assigned
Test Proctor:
- Monitors test environment during the administration of examinations
- Enforces time limits and compliance with other examination procedures
- Explains, and answers questions and/or concerns related to examination procedures and similar matters
- Other similar duties as assigned
Student Ambassador:
Perform clerical and administrative duties, including but not limited to:
Perform clerical and administrative duties, including but not limited to:
- Make phone calls
- Assist with recruitment and campus tours
- Prepare folders
- Answer general admissions question(s) for perspective students
- Other similar duties as assigned
Lab Tech Assistant:
- Assist in the preparation, set-up, and clean-up of laboratory activities and experiments
- Perform minimum clerical and administrative duties, including but not limited to:
- Making copies for faculty
- Retrieve and/or deliver mail
- Other similar duties as assigned
Learning Center Assistant:
- Clarifying specific course content
- Model appropriate study strategies
- Assist students to become independent learners
- Perform clerical and administrative duties, including but not limited to:
- Greet students and visitors
- Check students in for their appointment(s)
- Answering office phones
- Filing paperwork
- Restocking office equipment
- Other similar duties as assigned
Athletic Team Attendant:
- Gather sport(s) equipment
- Set up practice
- Time and/or score keeping
- Video recording game(s) and/or practice(s)
- Maintain and service hydration station
- Other similar duties as assigned by the coaching staff
Student Coordinator:
Event preparation for varies extracurricular events included but not limited to:

- Theater/production - set up and break down
- Campus life and leadership - set up/break down
- Capable of physical movement and lifting up to 10lbs
- Other similar duties as assigned
Required:
- Currently and consistently enrolled as an MCC student with the following minimum credit hours, except graduation semester:
- Fall: 6 Credit Hours
- Spring: 6 Credit Hours
- Summer: 3 Credit Hours
