Minimal Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree Economics, Public Administration, Business, Industrial Management, Education or related field.
  • Four (4) years sales / client management or related experience.

Preferred qualifications :

Preference will be given to individuals who possess :

  • Master's degree with related experience preferred.
  • Evidence of experience in Recruitment, Marketing or related area
  • Evidence of developing / maintaining strategic partnerships in the community
  • Evidence of experience managing diverse functional teams
  • Evidence of managing multiple ongoing projects
  • Evidence of experience working in a complex organization with all classifications of employees, from entry-level to executive
  • Evidence of excellent customer service experience
  • Work Hours

    Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; however, may be required to work other shifts to include evenings and / or weekends. Schedule subject to change based upon department needs.

    Compensation

    The annual salary is between $58,544- $62,057. A competitive benefit package is included.

  • Class Summary

    Incumbents manage and coordinate assigned functional areas or services as well as related budget and fiscal activities for the Workforce & Economic Development division.

    Typical Essential Duties

  • Supervises staff to include prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; coordinating staff training; and implementing hiring, discipline, and termination procedures; ensures all operations are performed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Develops and / or oversees the implementation of recruitment and enrollment operational strategies and initiatives specific to Workforce & Economic Development programs and provides actionable direction and leadership to the initiative; work may involve developing and implementing plans and strategies, analyzing data and tracking metrics to evaluate plans and programs, and coordinating program operations to ensure compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Coordinate with community advocates, business leaders, and internal / external personnel, departments, and agencies to promote the College, build and maintain strategic partnerships, communicate general and specific information, and facilitate related departmental operations.
  • Reviews and approves budgets; work may involve monitoring expenditures, analyzing financial information, and approving purchase and other requisitions; ensures departmental staff follow appropriate financial controls, and comply with applicable guidelines, standards, and requirements.
  • Prepares, maintains, and updates reports, records, communications materials, and other documentation; work may involve researching, compiling, and analyzing information, and making recommendations based on findings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Skilled in utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, and others sufficient to exchange or convey information.

    Physical Requirements

    Positions in this class typically require : reaching, standing, walking, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

    Sedentary Work : Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
