Join an award-winning wastewater industry leader in protecting our environment! The Metropolitan Council’s Environmental Services (ES) division operates and maintains the wastewater collection and treatment system in the Twin Cities metro area.
Apprentices are responsible for successfully participating in a state-indentured apprenticeship program designed to train qualified individuals in performing mechanical troubleshooting, repair, preventive, asset condition monitoring and machining of parts in our wastewater treatment facilities.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED AND four (4) years of work experience in a mechanical, heavy industrial, or wastewater setting.
License Requirements: Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Candidates should already possess or be willing and able to obtain a commercial driver's license if business needs require it.
