IT Infrastructure Intern
The Metropolitan District is a non-profit municipal corporation chartered by the Connecticut General Assembly in 1929 to provide potable water and sewerage services on a regional basis. Today, the MDC provides quality water supply, water pollution control, mapping, and household hazardous waste collection to eight member municipalities - Bloomfield, East Hartford, Hartford, Newington, Rocky Hill, West Hartford, Wethersfield and Windsor - and to portions of other towns in the region. The IT Department is looking to hire a full-time (37.5 hours/week) college intern for the MDC's summer internship program. The Intern will report to the company's IT Department in Hartford.
The program will begin on May 19, 2025 and run through August 8, 2025

DUTIES
Helpdesk Analyst, work with helpdesk personnel taking support calls.
Assist Intern program with equipment build and distribution to field
Work with Desktop Architect, assist with with iPad and Desktop refresh projects build and distribution
Work with IT Security Architect with launch of auditing tools.
Qualifications
College student majoring in Computer Sciences, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity and/or software development.
Proficiency with MS Office (PPT, Excel, Word, etc.).
