Industrial Water Blast Technician / General Laborer

We have multiple openings for Water Blast Technicians / Laborers. These positions operate and/or can be trained to operate both high and low pressure water blasting and vacuum equipment.

Minimum of $22.00hr. depending on your experience and qualifications.

Year round work is primarily in Columbus, Ohio and surrounding areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must pass a Non-DOT drug screenings and fitness for duty physical (required)
• Be able to obtain a DOT Medical card is preferred.
• Comfortable working equally indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions (serious weather events excluded).
• Be willing to work in all type of industrial work environments such as Steel Mills, Refineries, Warehouses, Tank Farms, Bakeries, Manufactures, etc.
• Be willing and able to wear a plethora of prescribed PPE (Personal Protective Equipment, to include respiratory protective devices) at all times or when required.
• Be willing and able to be clean-shaven daily if needed (Ref OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A), requires employers to prohibit respirators with tight-fitting facepieces to be worn by employees who have facial hair that comes between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face. This regulation does not ban facial hair on respirator users, per se. However, when a respirator must be worn to protect employees from airborne contaminants, it has to fit correctly, and this will require the wearer's face to be clean-shaven where the respirator seals against it.)
• Have a willingness to work as/with a team and work OT as needed.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• NO DUI's in past 2 years and have less 6 or less points on your driver's license.
• NO more then 3 speeding tickets in under 19 years old
• NO reckless driving in past 2 years
• Must be able to perform physical work lifting up to a maximum of 75 pounds as needed.
• Must be willing to learn how to operate various powered industrial trucks.
• Must be willing to learn how to operate various small fleet commercial vehicles such as stake-beds and pick-up trucks.
• Must be willing to learn how to safely operate pull behind trailers.
• Must be willing to assist others in the operations as needed.
• Advanced mechanical skills are strongly preferred but not required, additional equipment specific training will be provided.
• Primarily a day shift position, however applicants must be willing to work extended hours; nights, weekends and holidays when/as needed.
• Must be willing to work a minimum of one (1) full weekend per month (conditions apply).

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance.
• Drive to job sites, adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a valid driver's license.
• Collaborate with team members to assess cleaning needs and execute tasks effectively.
• Follow safety protocols to protect oneself and others during operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
