Position Description
This position is for a Cityworks application support analyst, and other related system integrations within the ITS Department and Enterprise Applications division.
The men and women in Metro’s Information Technology Services (ITS) department work 24-7 to ensure optimum communications both within Metro and between Metro and the general public. Multiple IT teams work to ensure information safety and efficient and effective business transactions.
ITS is a 24x7 information technology shop. Applicant must be willing and available to perform duties as required by the job. This may include work on nights, weekends and holidays.

Typical Duties
- Provide primary application support for Cityworks PLL, Cityworks AMS, ePermits and Land Management which are being used by a variety of general government departments with over 1000 internal users.
- Perform application testing (test plans/cases and execution) and troubleshooting for all CityWorks and related systems and applications, utilizing SQL for research and data verification.
- Perform application configuration based on user request with constantly changing priorities.
- Report or form creation/modification in Cityworks and associated systems using Crystal Reports and SQL queries.
- Perform business analysis activities for enterprise-wide projects such as: project plan input, deliverable definition and tracking, status reporting, conducting user level meetings and training.
- Coordinate and communicate with users and other team members including process owners, users, departments, ITS technical team, and consultants.
- Perform data extracts and updates from SQL based on user request and/or public request.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that would prepare the incumbent to perform the duties of the position at the appropriate level. Employees would typically have 3 (three) years of experience in IT systems support, IT customer support, Crystal reports, and SQL query writing. Including 6 (six) months experience in Cityworks PLL and Cityworks AMS system configuration and user support.

Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- Experience writing SQL queries to update or extract data from a SQL database
- Experience as systems analyst, supporting users with issues resolution, system enhancement, upgrades and conversion
- Experience coordinating and managing IT projects and end-user training
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
