Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Recruiter leads all aspects of exempt and non-exempt recruiting efforts in a designated market(s). This position partners with operation leaders and talent acquisition resources to ensure sourcing, recruiting, candidate processing and hiring systems are aligned with staffing strategies to fulfill market staffing requirements. This position is also responsible to ensure a professional, expedient, organized, well-communicated and timely experience for all candidates who apply to MHS in their assigned market(s). This position is also responsible to process candidates in accordance with MHS policies and procedures to fulfill operational staffing needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understands and utilizes labor forecasting tools and data to recognize staffing trends and create sourcing plans.
- Creates and executes monthly market-specific recruitment and sourcing plans.
- Builds applicant pipelines by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; and maintaining rapport.
- Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements and other outreach via print and online media.
- Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Partners with operations leaders to ensure interviews are conducted according to company standards and best practices.
- Coordinates the internal job applicant program in designated markets by screening candidates, setting up interviews and providing timely candidate communication and disposition.
- Maintains open communications with operations managers, account managers and district managers to determine current and forecasted district staffing needs.
- Meets targeted forecasts and fills key vacancies.
- Places local and national print, internet, and media advertisements to recruit for open positions.
- Provides information to applicants regarding application process, employment policies, organization, positions, etc.
- Instructs applicants on completing employment applications and reviews applications for completeness.
- Makes initial contact with qualified applicants via phone or email to complete pre-screening interviews.
- Manages applicants through the applicant tracking system in compliance with MHSs intake process.
- Schedules applicants for on-site interviews or job auditions with hiring managers.
- Maintains timely communication with hiring managers regarding status of interviews.
- Initiates criminal background checks, driving record information, social security verifications, and client- required testing for all qualified applicants and follows through to completion.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
- Represents the company at career events, conferences, job fairs, and other hiring-related events as needed.
- Effectively utilizes company-provided resources, tools, and collateral throughout the recruitment process.
- Assists in coaching hiring managers and less experienced subordinate team members on recruitment. Practices and creates an environment for knowledge transfer and cross-training.
- Partners with talent and operations leaders to allocate staffing resources as needed to support new site openings and emerging markets.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field AND three (3) years of high-volume staffing or recruitment experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience .
- Must be able to work legally in the United States.
- Must pass background and drug screenings.
- Previous experience in one or more of the areas in which the team lead will supervise others.
- Able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude including the ability to utilize MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), the Internet, job boards, and application tracking systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work independently, to plan effectively, and to set priorities to accomplish required tasks.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business correspondence, instruction guides, and training materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to address managers, employees, and job candidates.
- Ability to represent the company effectively in a variety of settings with a demonstrated understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures.
