Lead Health Screener

Job Summary:
Under the supervision and direction of the MHS Manager or Team Lead, the Lead Health Screener is responsible for greeting, screening and provide assistance when appropriate, to all visitors, patients and colleagues as they enter the facility. The Lead Health Screener will be responsible for administering temperature checks and health related questionnaires to all employee and visitors to ensure a safe and healthy environment. When not directed to provide greeting, screening and other assistance as appropriate, under the direction of the MHS Team Lead, provides support to a Screening team as well as the MHS team leader, performing duties necessary to ensure smooth day to day operations of the assigned work unit.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead Health Screener performs all duties of a Health Screener during the assigned shift in an exemplary manner, serving as a role model to other Health Screeners.
- Lead Health Screener provides coverage to Health Screeners during meal periods and breaks.
- Lead Health Screener conducts rounding regularly to monitor Health Screening activity and ensure that all Health Screeners are performing at or above standards.
- Assists the Manager or Team Lead in the training, re-training, and development of Health Screeners.
- When necessary, the Lead Health Screener coaches Health Screeners to improve the client experience.
- Lead Health Screener assists in scheduling and verifying assignments as well as time and attendance.
- Lead Health Screener reports any irregularity or issue to MHS Manager or Team Lead.
- Maintains safe, clean and neat work environment by following standards and procedures.
- Maintains strict confidentiality related to work information (in accordance with HIPAA).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Requirements:
- High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent experience with a minimum of 3 months experience as a Health Screener, Ambassador or Patient Safety Associate.
- Must be able to work legally in the United States.
- Must pass background and drug screenings.
- Able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Required to meet immunization or health screening requirements.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for customer service and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, see, and hear.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to push and pull (on wheelchair) 100 to 350 pounds, frequently over considerable distance.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours is sometimes required.
