What are the responsibilities and job description for the Central Kitchen Team Member position at Metropolitan Market?
THE ROLE
Team members within our Central Kitchen department prepare and package our delicious Bakery and Prepared Foods items for our stores companywide. Our fast-paced environment requires team members to successfully prioritize between routine tasks (such as food packaging and shipping) and immediate customer needs. We seek outgoing, friendly individuals to help us produce tasty, fresh, bakery products and meals to our guests!
- Produce and assemble cold products (items that do not require baking or cooking) for our Bakery/Coffee Shop and Prepared Foods Departments companywide and catering special orders.
- Maintain high-quality standards in product management and presentation.
- Prepares and packages products for transport.
- Assists in the coordination of product shipments.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to phone inquires.

For this role, we seek candidates with a high level of self-motivation and initiative who are able to problem solve and have proven success working in a diverse team environment. Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality output while working within deadlines; they will possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
Our team members deliver exceptional customer service and possess strong interpersonal and oral communication skills. Hired team members will demonstrate an interest in learning and possess a strong interest in food and related products.
We strive to find candidates with knowledge of food safety, HACCP/Department of Health guidelines, inventory and portion control. Ideally, our new Central Kitchen Team Members will have one year food service or catering experience.

- Wage/salary range: $21.30 - $25.15

Employment may be dependent upon successful background check and reference checks. All store employees must have a valid Washington State Food Workers Card to begin work.
