Position Overview : Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors (MMC) is seeking an experienced leader with mechanical and plumbing expertise to join our dynamic team as a Senior BIM Coordinator / VDC Technician . This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a team environment, can work independently while modeling, and is dedicated to enhancing the constructability of mechanical and plumbing designs. This fast-paced position offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of projects, identifying potential issues before construction begins to improve project execution and deliver value to our customers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review plumbing and mechanical construction documents and submittals to create corresponding construction models.
- Coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems using fabrication parts in Revit and Navis.
- Produce field installation drawings and reports for field and fabrication shop use.
- Maintain close communication with field teams, fabrication team, and project managers.
- Lead mechanical and plumbing teams in project coordination meetings.
- Set up projects in Revit.
- Perform intermediate family editing in Revit.
