The Travel Nurse RN specializes in providing high-quality care in the Progressive Care Unit at Metropolitan Methodist Hospital. With a focus on heart, cancer care, surgery, and rehabilitation services, the role requires a Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications, along with a minimum of two years of hospital experience. This temporary position features a 13-week assignment with rotating shifts and a patient-to-nurse ratio of 3 : 1 in a newly opened unit.

Active TX RN License is required. Temporary license not accepted.

This is a Travel nursing position.

Metropolitan Methodist Hospital serves the unique needs of its patients and strives to deliver the golden standard of care.

The hospital offers heart and cancer care, general surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology services, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, sleep disorder evaluation and the largest emergency room in downtown San Antonio.

The facility has a women’s pavilion, health for life center, and a robotic surgery system.

Job Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of hospital experience.

NIH certification is required.

BLS and ACLS certifications.

All travelers are required to float.

Schedule Information

Assignment length is 13 weeks.

Shift times are 7A-7 : 30P or 7P-7 : 30A.

Includes a rotation of weekends.

36 hours per week – 3 – 12-hour shifts with alternating weekends.

No call requirements.

Unit Specific Information

Unit will be in the PCU (629).

New Unit opening 4 / 2020.

Patient Ratios is 3 : 1.

Staffing includes unit secretaries and a free Charge Nurse.

Type of equipment common to ICU.

Documentation system used is Meditech.

The floating policy is as needed.
