Job Summary: Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer assigned administrator, perform a variety of department management duties and independent secretarial duties in the Office of Centralized Enrollment/Centralized Enrollment Center. Oversees student registration, enrollment and withdrawal processes. Demonstrates effective public relations and maintains smooth and efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary contact in the Enrollment Office for all student registration enrollment & withdrawal (K-12), exercising appropriate judgment and discretion in applications involving student information.
- Coordinate with the Offices of Information Technology, Elementary and Secondary Education, Office of Special Education, Office of the Language Assistance Program, District Social Worker, and Transportation.
- Work with schools to organize and process initial enrollment, transfers and withdrawals with accurate and timely completion.
- Monitors and evaluates clerical tasks and functions; assists in the completion of projects and reports on an ongoing basis.
- Supervises the establishment and maintenance of files.
- Analyzes procedures and makes recommendations to ensure efficiency of operation.
- Types a variety of correspondence, memoranda, requisitions, reports, board communications, lists, bulletins, forms and letters.
- Provides for the recording and reporting of work order status for site or department.
- Maintains calendar of clerical production; plans for and supervises the production and/or revision of major documents.
- Assist with state reporting requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Effective integration between various software tools (e.g. databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and student information systems).
- Excellent communication, organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups and manage multiple priorities.
- Complete understanding of and ability to use the student information system for maintaining and reporting.
- Bilingual preferred
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee:
- Is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, go up and down stairs, use a telephone, and write.
- Sometimes, you must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs.
- This position requires accurate perception of sound, near and far vision, depth perception, handling and working with educational materials and objects, and providing oral information.
- Involves travel between MSD of Wayne Township schools and other facilities on occasion.
