Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri.
Must possess a valid driver's license issued by the state in which the employee resides
Pursuant to MSD's "Substance Abuse Policy and Procedures," this position has been designated as safety
sensitive and candidate must pass a Non-D.O.T. Drug Test for this position. Employees occupying this
position are not subject to Federal (D.O.T.) Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations.
Current employees of MSD must have a meets expectations on their most recent performance evaluation.
Essential Functions:
- Assign and coordinate the work of engineering team members
- Assist in reviewing design plans produced by or reviewed by team members
- Manage consulting engineers performing work of considerable difficulty, assist in coordinating the design of facilities with other District departments
- Meet with consulting engineers, contractors, private development project owners, and public officials as required
- Maintain and monitor project schedules
- Maintain records and prepare technical reports
- May develop presentations to District staff and external groups
- Manage District archives and maintain file records for all District projects
- Perform related duties as required or delegated by supervisor

Qualifications
Training And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably civil engineering
- Six years (6) experience as a licensed Professional Engineer
- Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering, especially as it applies to the review, design and construction of sewer facilities
- Thorough knowledge of the District's design and construction standards and policies
- Considerable skill in the use of computers and and hydraulic modeling programs
- Extensive oral and written communication skills
- Considerable skill in maintaining effective working relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, private developers, governmental officials and the general public
- Considerable skill in planning and coordinating the work of others
- Considerable skill in preparing construction plans, specifications and estimates, technical reports, and maintaining records
