Responsibilities :
- Under general supervision with broad scope of latitude for the exercise of independent judgement and initiative, this position is accountable for managing work of varying levels of difficulty with regards to the design, development, alteration, modification, testing, engineering, and reverse engineering of electronic test equipment used to support electronic systems within NYCT (DCE, Signals, CBTC, AFC, DOB). The equipment is comprised of varying degrees of difficulty which includes computers, communication equipment, Radio Frequency equipment (RF), electronic power substation controls, test and measurement equipment and various electronic devices.
- The selected candidate must have a working knowledge of software programming, computer usage and automated testing concepts. In addition, in support of CES shop floor production repair efforts, this position will oversee the generation of test procedures and other technical documents as well as establish and coordinate vendor provided training for the hourly workforce.
