About the Oncology Assistant Role
We are looking for a dedicated Oncology Assistant to join our growing team. In this role you will provide essential support to the Oncology Nurses and ensure seamless clinical operations for our Oncology Service. This role requires strong technical skills, effective communication, the ability to stand for majority of the shift, and a commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care.
Schedule & Compensation
Schedule : Monday-Thursday - 7 : 30 AM - 5 : 30 PM
Compensation : Starting at $17.50 / hr
What You'll Do
- Assist Oncology Nurses and Oncologists in providing exceptional patient care.
- Running bloodwork, assisting with radiographs, creating chemotherapy trays, loading patient rooms
- Facilitate communication between departments, doctors, and hospital support staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Utilize sound technical skills for treatments, patient diagnostics, and procedures.
- Maintain patient / client records with accuracy and professionalism.
- Help manage the daily schedule for the Oncology Service, ensuring patient and client needs are met.
- Support a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and AAHA standards.
- Provide guidance and training to others, sharing specialized knowledge and skills as needed.
