About the Emergency Veterinary Technician Role :
We are looking to add to our growing hospital and are in search of a Veterinary Nurse (Veterinary Technician) to work in our Emergency Department.
Schedule & Compensation
Schedule : Wednesday-Saturday, 2 PM - 12 AM
Compensation : Starts at $25.30 / hr
- includes shift differential
What You’ll Do
Triage - identify emergencies and illnessesPerform various treatments on an in-house and outpatient basisAnesthesia : Induction, monitoring, troubleshooting, recover patientsAdminister medicationsAssist in proceduresPosition and capture of radiographsCommunicate with clients, and team members (verbally and written)Fear Free handling : safe, stress free interactions for team members, clients, and patientsRequirements
2 years experience in emergency veterinary medicineCurrent CVT / LVT / RVT preferred or educational equivalentBroad knowledge of basic small animal medicine (pharmacology, proper restraint / handling, venipuncture, laboratory testing)Thorough understanding and knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and disease processesAttention to detail and a calm demeanorAbility to work in a fast paced, environmentProficient computer skillsOur top tier benefits include
